The Rev. Mark Wm Allert | Pastor

Pastor Mark has served as pastor at Peace Lutheran Church since March 2004. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary at Berkeley, California and was ordained in 1999. Pastor Mark has been called by Peace to exercise among us the ministry of Word and Sacrament; preach and teaching the Word of God; administering Holy Baptism and Holy Communion; providing pastoral care; speaking for justice on behalf of the poor and oppressed; encouraging persons to prepare for the ministry of the Gospel; equipping us for witness and service, and guiding us in proclaiming God’s love through word and deed. As a son of two Lutheran pastors, Pastor Mark grew up in Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas, and has also lived in Alaska and New York. He and his wife Deana were married in 1994 and have one son.

Hannah Lachman | Music Director

Hannah Lachman is a professional pianist with degrees in piano performance from Scripps College and California State University, Northridge. She has accompanied and led choirs and church services since she was 15. Ms. Lachman currently works as music director and accompanist at Peace Lutheran. She also maintains a private piano studio, and works as a contracted accompanist for groups and private events throughout Southern California. Ms. Lachman believes that musical worship is a living, breathing experience, a conversation between our innermost being and God. When we raise our voices as one, we raise our hearts as one to God. It is her call to glorify God and to bring others and herself closer to God through the shared experiences of live music.

Terri Robertson | Parish Administrator

Terri has served as Parish Administrator of Peace since September 2004. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach in 1985 and previously worked for 13 years as the Controller of a property management firm in Orange County. As a member of Peace since 1996, she followed the call to serve God’s church in a new role in 1999 and began serving as the bookkeeper for the Pacifica Synod until 2005, at which time her position here at Peace became full-time. While Terri enjoys the administrative portions of her position, her great joy comes from serving with the people, witnessing the depth of their faith and the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. She also enjoys being present in the community, helping to bring the Good News of Christ to others. Terri has two children, a daughter and a son, who both attend college in Southern California.
